HOW DO I PREPARE FOR A BRAZILIAN WAX?
Please have a minimum of 3 weeks of hair growth after shaving. This allows for all 3 cycles of hair growth to be grown out so you will get the best wax possible. Avoid caffeine the day of your wax. Caffeine restricts blood vessels so skin does not get as much blood flow which will increase sensitivity. Taking an Ibuprofen 30 minutes before your wax will help with sensitivity and inflammation. We also sell a topical numbing gel which you can apply 15-30 minutes before your appointment.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF WAXING?
Waxing any hair on your body you will experience softer, finer, and more sparse hair growth over time. The best benefit of consistent waxing is it gets easier! Instead of waxing hair with deep roots we will be waxing baby hair so it should get less painful with every appointment!
DOES A BRAZILIAN WAX HURT?
There is a little discomfort involved but most women say it is very tolerable. With our efficient waxing technique your Brazilian wax will only take about 10 minutes and most of our clients say it is the most painless wax they have ever had.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD WE MAKE AN APPOINTMENT?
We recommend 4-6 weeks in-between appointments. Please do not shave in-between your appointments, this can irritate the hair follicle and cause ingrown hairs.
IS WAXING SANITARY?
Yes, we NEVER double dip wax sticks whether it’s for facial or body waxing. This is to protect your health and prevent spreading harmful bacteria. No double dipping is the number one thing you need to look for wherever you get waxed!
CAN WE TAN BEFORE OR AFTER OUR WAX?
Please wait 3-5 days after tanning to get waxed. This is so your skin will not “lift” during your waxing appointment. You should wait about 2-3 days after your wax to tan. Waxing takes dead skin off so you will be more photosensitive and prone to burning. If you are spray tanning we recommend to wax first then get your spray tan.
